We are a team of people that arepassionate about exploring the vast and diverse world of coffee, and we believe that every cup tells a story. To share that passion with our community, we’re excited to announce the relaunch of our public tastings in a new and improved format: Coffee Discovery Sessions. These monthly sessions, held at our Fifth Ave cafe, are designed to bring together coffee enthusiasts, curious beginners, and anyone in between for an engaging, educational coffee experience.
What to Expect:
Coffee Discovery Sessions are led by members of our Quality Control team, who bring their expertise and excitement to each event. These sessions focus on specific educational topics, providing insights into the art and science of coffee. You’ll have the opportunity to sample different coffees, learn about various brewing methods, discover the nuances of flavour profiles, and dive deeper into the world of specialty coffee—all in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Unlike our previous Tuesday tastings, these sessions have been reimagined to offer more in-depth explorations of coffee. Each session is tailored to a specific topic, giving you a focused and enriching experience. Plus, with sessions now held on Saturdays from 11 am to 12 pm, we hope to make these tastings more accessible to a wider audience!
Session One: Taste the Lineup
Our first Coffee Discovery Session will take place on Saturday, September 14th at our Fifth Ave cafe. Led by our team member Sandy, this session will guide you through our current coffee lineup. You’ll have the chance to taste a variety of coffees and explore the unique flavour profiles of each one. From vibrant and fruity to deep and complex, there’s something for everyone!
Whether you’re new to coffee or a seasoned connoisseur, this session is designed to help you develop a deeper appreciation for the nuances in each cup. Sandy will share insights into the origins, processing methods, and tasting notes of the coffees you sample, giving you a well-rounded understanding of what makes each coffee special.
Coffee Discovery Passport
To make these sessions even more fun and rewarding, we’ve introduced a Coffee Discovery Passport. Each time you attend a Coffee Discovery Session, you’ll receive a stamp in your passport. After your third session, you’ll earn a FREE bag of coffee! It’s our way of saying thank you for being part of our coffee community and for joining us on this discovery journey!
