We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase a producer that puts so much emphasis on giving back to the coffee community and the planet. Founded in the 80’s when sustainability was virtually unknown, the Daterra Coffee Project continues to be centered around social development and environmental preservation.

This coffee is a “pulped” process, which means that all the skin and fruit of the coffee cherry has been removed prior to drying. At Daterra, this process is mechanically made, meaning that they can remove mucilage around the beans without fermenting them in water.

Samar is comprised of different lots that are selected for this specific flavour profile. A classic and approachable cup that we would expect and love in Brazilian coffee.
