We’ll always have a soft spot for this coffee. Miguel Angel Ruiz has been with us since the beginning—one of the first producers we bought from when Monogram started roasting. His farm in La Leona, Santa Barbara, is home to both Parainema and Pacas varieties, and year after year, he continues to impress us with coffees that are bold, expressive, and full of character.
This lot is 100% Parainema, a variety known for its resilience and complex flavour profile. Miguel’s washed processing keeps the structure clean and the fruit shining through—think juicy red apple, tart cranberry, and rich dark chocolate. It’s bright, balanced, and just a little bit wild.
