Red Catuai was the first variety we ever purchased from Takesi, and it remains a personal favourite. While this variety is often known for simple, approachable flavours, Takesi’s unique landscape transforms it into something far more complex and memorable.
The farm’s high-altitude environment slows maturation dramatically, allowing sugars to concentrate and structure to develop in a way that feels almost amplified. Each lot is carefully hand-picked and washed to showcase clarity without losing the comforting richness that makes Catuai beloved.
