Gedeb Lalesa

Gedeb Lalesa is all about clarity and intensity. Grown in the highlands at the southern edge of Yirgacheffe, this region is known for producing some of Ethiopia’s most expressive coffees. High elevations and ideal drying conditions come together to create a cup that is juicy, layered, and full of energy.

This lot is processed at the Lalesa drying station, where freshly picked cherries are carefully sorted and dried on raised beds beneath greenhouse-style canopies. The slower drying process, typically 20 to 25 days, allows the fruit to develop deeper sweetness and structure.

Behind it is Ephtah Specialty Coffee, a women-founded and led company bringing a fresh perspective to Ethiopian coffee. Founded by Wubit Bekele, Ephtah focuses on relationship-driven sourcing, community investment, and creating more space for women in the industry. It is thoughtful work that shows up in the cup, bright, expressive, and full of character.
