For the past eight years, we've had the privilege of working alongside Mariana Iturralde and the team at Finca Takesi, building a relationship rooted in curiosity, trust, and an unwavering pursuit of exceptional coffee. Perched high in the Bolivian Andes, Takesi is the highest coffee farm in the world. At these extraordinary elevations, cool mountain temperatures slow the ripening of every coffee cherry, creating remarkable sweetness, clarity, and complexity in the cup.

Coffee farming at Takesi is anything but easy. Steep mountain terrain, freezing nights, and an unforgiving climate make every harvest incredibly demanding. There was no blueprint for growing specialty coffee at these elevations, so Mariana and her team have spent years refining farming and processing practices through careful observation and experimentation. Today, Monogram is proud to be the only Canadian roaster, and one of just six worldwide, with access to these extraordinary coffees.

SL28 is one of the world's most celebrated coffee varieties, admired for its lively fruit character and vibrant acidity. Rarely grown in Bolivia, this lot offers a unique opportunity to experience how the variety expresses itself at Takesi, resulting in a cup that is bright, elegant, and unmistakably expressive.
