Daterra

Daterra has been pushing Brazilian specialty coffee forward since the 1980s, with innovation and sustainability built into their approach from the beginning. Their land in the Cerrado region is divided into 216 smaller farms, allowing each area to be monitored and harvested according to its own growing conditions. That attention to detail has helped make Daterra a leader in both coffee quality and more sustainable farming.

That commitment goes well beyond the coffee itself. Daterra was the first coffee farm in Brazil to earn Rainforest Alliance certification and today operates as a carbon-negative farm. We also proudly partner with Daterra through their Tree_llion project, supporting large-scale reforestation efforts with a portion of the proceeds from every bag of Daterra coffee we sell.

This lot features Laurina, a naturally low-caffeine mutation of Bourbon with roughly half the caffeine of many other Arabica varieties. The whole cherries spend 72 hours fermenting anaerobically in tanks before drying on raised beds, a process that amplifies Laurina’s fruit-forward character while keeping plenty of rich sweetness. The resulting cup is a vibrant, juicy coffee with layers of tropical fruit and a sweet, rounded finish. Super fruity and super delicious!
