Esnider Rodriguez’s Villa Sarchi is a coffee that shines through collaboration and care. Grown at 1,600 metres on his Alturas de Lourdes farm in Costa Rica’s West Valley, Esnider focuses on cultivating perfectly ripe cherries of this unique Costa Rican variety. From there, the coffee is handed off to renowned processor Esteban Villalobos, whose innovative methods bring out its best.
Esteban’s natural anaerobic process is as meticulous as it is creative, combining science and artistry to unlock vibrant flavours. By carefully controlling fermentation and using raised beds for slow drying, he creates a coffee that’s both balanced and complex. Expect notes of apple cider, gingersnap cookie, and melon in every sip. It’s a delicious snapshot of Costa Rica’s West Valley!
