Taypiplaya is a distinctive coffee from the lush, forested region of Caranavi, Bolivia, where a dedicated group of producers grow Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, and Pacamara varieties. With guidance from the Rodriguez family’s Sol de la Mañana program, these producers have refined their coffee quality, increasing the value and sustainability of their crops. This collaboration has revitalized coffee farming in the region, allowing producers to maintain a livelihood that supports their communities and preserves the natural environment.

The producers of Taypiplaya cultivate coffee amidst dense forests, leaving much of their land wild to support local biodiversity. This Pacamara is naturally processed, with cherries undergoing a two-day anaerobic fermentation before careful drying on coco dryers. The result is a juicy, vibrant coffee with flavours of mango and nectarine- a tropical experience that captures the best of Bolivian coffee’s unique terroir.
