Tuvemubukene Women’s Cooperative

Tuvemubukene Women’s Cooperative Decaf is a coffee that’s as rich in flavour as it is in heart. Grown in Rwanda’s Western Province, this coffee comes from a cooperative of over 65 women whose goal is to break the cycle of poverty and build better futures for their families. Through their hard work and dedication, they’ve created a sustainable coffee business that also includes other income streams like basketmaking and sewing. Their story is one of empowerment, and their coffee reflects that spirit.

This decaf coffee is carefully processed using the Swiss Water Process, a chemical-free method that uses water and a proprietary filtration system to gently remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s natural flavours. The process starts by soaking the beans in water to extract the caffeine, which is then filtered out using activated carbon. The result is a decaf coffee that’s smooth, sweet, and full of character, with tasting notes of chocolate, black tea, and a hint of red apple. It’s a great way to enjoy the full flavour of coffee without the caffeine.

By choosing Tuvemubukene, you’re supporting women in Rwanda and enjoying a coffee that’s not just about taste, but about positive change. It’s a great way to enjoy a delicious decaf while helping to lift others up!
